Remote work - comment in a nutshell
On November 30, 2022, the second reading was held at the Sejm session. The bill was again referred to the Extraordinary Committee for changes in codifications in order to consider the amendments submitted in the second reading. An amendment regarding remote work performed occasionally has been adopted. According to the amendment, remote work may be performed occasionally, at the employee's request, for a period not exceeding 30 days in a calendar year (in the previous draft it was 24 days). On December 1, 2022, the third reading was held at the Sejm session. The published act did not include the above-mentioned amendments - occasional remote work may be performed for a maximum of 24 days in a calendar year.
The President signed the act introducing remote work to the Labor Code. The provisions on remote work will come into force two months after the announcement.
