Information obligations

Government bill amending the Labour Code and certain other acts on the implementation into the Polish legal order of the provisions of two directives (EU) 2019/1152 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 June 2019 on transparent and predictable working conditions in the European Union and 2019/1158 of 20 June 2019 on work-life balance for parents and carers and repealing Council Directive 2010/18/EU was submitted to the Sejm in January 2023. On 9 February 2023, the bill was submitted to the President and Speaker of the Senate.  The Sejm passed an amendment to the Labour Code (Act of 9 March 2023 amending the Labour Code and certain other acts). On March 13, 2023, the law was submitted to the President for signature. The act amending the Labor Code entered into force on April 26, 2023 (information valid as of July 9, 2023)
